Hospital Day observed

Hospital Day was observed in the DHQ and THQ Hospitals in the district in order to inspect the medical services delivery and other administrative arrangements. Divisional Commissioner Momin Agha and DCO Salman Ghani separately visited the DHQ Hospital and spend their times for the inspection of DHQ hospital. Director Health Service Dr Zahid Malik, ACG Shafqatuallah Mushtaq, DMO Sanam Gondal, DO Accounts Rana Tanvir and other officers were also present on the occasion.
MS DHQ Dr Abdul Rauf briefed the Commissioner and DCO about the measures taken for the improvement of medical facilities and other infrastructure for the relief of patients and their attendants. The Commissioner appreciated the renovation and improvement of OPD and making it fully air-conditioned for the comfort of patients. He checked the different wards in the hospitals and enquired about the health of the patients including provision of medical facilities. He directed that quality of cleanliness should further be improved besides keeping all medical machinery and equipments functional.
The Commissioner also observed the process of medical examination of the patients by the doctors and advised them for good behaviour with the patients for strengthening the public confidence on govt hospitals. He also checked the medicines issuance process and said that no complaint of non-availability of the medicines should be reported. DCO Salman Ghani took a detail round of the hospital and checked the cleanliness in the wash rooms. He directed that each and every installation in the hospital should be accurate.
He inspected the OPD and listened complaints of patients. He said that the govt hospitals should be made more beneficial as per directions CM Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif for the provision of quality medical services to the patients near their door steps. He directed the hospital management to implement the health policies in letter and spirit for the relief of patients and their attendants. He assured that all out resources would be provided to the DHQ Hospital as required by the management for the improvement and up-gradation of the medical facilities.
