Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo along with the Director General Ports and Shipping on Monday visited the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) headquarters here and discussed in detail registration of fishing boats and various other issues pertaining to maritime sector of the country. Representatives of various maritime sector organisations, including Pakistan Navy, Karachi Port Trust (KPT), Marine Fisheries and Marine Mercantile Department were present.
The installation of Vessel Monitoring System on fishing boats, sea pollution, especially in harbour areas, deep sea policy and port security also came under discussion with various policy options and practical way forward for future course of action.
