Huge explosives recovered: major terror bid foiled in Swabi

Police here on Sunday claimed to have foiled a major imminent terror bid after recovering huge explosives from a house during a raid in Swabi on Sunday.
Acting on a tip off, Swabi police raided a house in Malik Abad and recovered 12kg explosives fixed at pressure cookers, said a statement issued by Swabi police.
The personnel of Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) defused the explosives on the spot. The miscreants, however, managed to flee before the raid. A search is underway in the area to arrest the culprits.
Meanwhile, police carried out anti-terror raids in various parts of the district and held 35 suspects and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession.
