Girls grabbed all the top positions in the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) HSC Part II Annual Examinations- 2016 of Science Pre-Medical Group. The Controller of Examinations of the BIEK announced the result on Monday. A total of 21,106 candidates appeared in the examinations and the pass percentage remained 52.78.
Asia Khalid of BAMM PECHS Government College for Women secured first position. She obtained 992 marks out of the maximum of 1,100. Her college mates- Marva Tanveer and Hiba Khalid, with 991 marks each, shared the second position. Rimsha of St. Lawrence Government Girls College, who got 990 marks, was declared third.
Syeda Kinza Kazmi of the Aga Khan Higher Secondary School and Arisha Warsi of BAMM PECHS Government College for Women shared the fourth position with 989 marks each. The fifth position was shared by three candidates who obtained 986 marks each. They were: Subata Nadeem Azizi (Aga Khan Higher Secondary School), Fatima Karrar (BAMM PECHS Government College for Women) and Sana Kazi (Aga Khan Higher Secondary School).
The sixth position was shared by Zainab Ahmed of Baharia College-Karsaz, and Maida of BAMM PECHS Government College for Women. They got 984 marks each. In all, 1,340 candidates were placed in A-I grade and 3,089 in A grade. The number of the candidates who passed in the B grade was 3,290 and 2,500 in C grade. As many as 858 candidates passed their examination with D grade and 53 with E grade.
