New office-bearers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan's co-ordination committee were elected on Saturday. It is for the first time that co-ordination committee's office-bearers elected sans Altaf or London-based officials' recommendations. Aaj News reported that the MQM Pakistan elected Farooq Sattar as its convenor, Amir Khan as senior deputy convenor and Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui as deputy convenor, respectively. Kishwar Zehra, Faisal Sabzwari and Abdul Waseem have been appointed its members. While MQM-Pakistan expelled Akram Rajput and another member from the party, it added.
