KP Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra while talking to a nine-member delegation of FATA parliamentarians mostly senators has said that every effort is underway to bring FATA on a par with other parts of the country with special focus on peace, development and better governance over there.
He said that he will continue the practice to taking along the FATA parliamentarians with regard to development, governance and formulation of policy matters for the area. "We fully acknowledged the role of elected public representatives from FATA in this respect", he said.
The delegation comprising Hidayatullah Khan, Muhammad Saleh Shah, Hilal-ur-Rehman, Malik Najmul Hassan, Sajjad Hussain Turi, Haji Momin Khan Afridi, Taj Muhammad Afridi, and Aurangzeb Khan apprised the governor of the certain problems being faced by the people of FATA. Responding to certain proposals, the Governor assured to take steps in due course of time.
