DCO Salman Ghani and CPO Afzaal Ahmad Kausar jointly visited main Imambargah Diglouspura and Dhobi Ghat ground tent city of mourners to check the security and other administrative arrangements. Administrator TMA Lyallpur Town Rafia Haider and other officers were also accompanied them. While reviewing the administrative arrangements, the DCO directed to maintain cleanliness at the sites of Muharram processions and majalis.
He also directed for better arrangements of lighting and operational of mobile medical services besides performing active duty by Rescue 1122 staff and other security personnel. He advised the officers to keep close liaison with the organisers of Muharram processions and majalis and warned that no laxity and lethargy would be tolerated.
He said that flawless arrangements should be maintained and duty staff should be present at all times. CPO Afzaal Ahmad Kausar checked the strategy of blockage of roads for security purpose and said that general public should not be faced any difficulty from security arrangements.
He directed the security staff to remain active security duties and each and every person should be checked through security gadgets coming for participating in the majalis. Later, DCO and CPO checked the security arrangements at main procession of the Ashura Muharram from outside Bhowana Bazar to Chowk Clock Tower. He also visited medical camp and control room set up at Chowk Clock Tower and directed to keep all arrangements intact.
