Sui Northern Gas Pipelines is making adequate efforts for improving the gas pressure in Sialkot, said General Manager (SNGPL) Riasat Ali Bajwa. Talking to Business Recorder on Tuesday here he said that two projects costing Rs 410 million are under execution process in order to meet future load requirements of Sialkot and allied localities.
For this purpose the department was laying 17 KM long pipeline costing Rs 230 million from Badiana to Rangers headquarter for improving the gas supply in cantonment area and work on this project is briskly underway while Moutra-Sambrial transmission line costing Rs 180 million will be laid in near future he disclosed.
Replying to a question he said that there are 2.13 lakh domestic consumers, 2206 commercial and 63 industrial consumers in Sialkot. Similarly there are 6163 domestic and one commercial consumers in Narowal he added. The GM further stated that Regional Office was successful functioning and making efforts for resolving the problems of the consumers of Sialkot and Narowal districts on top priority bases.
