Punjab Assembly on Wednesday passed 'The Punjab Local Government (Fifth Amendment) Bill 2016. During the session, 'The Forman Christian College, Lahore (Amendment) Bill 2016 was also introduced in the House. In resolutions under Article 128(a) of the Constitution for extension of 'The Provincial Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Ordinance 2016 and 'Punjab Agriculture, Food and Drug Authority (Amendment) Ordinance 2016 were also passed.
In other legislative exercise, the House passed 'The Punjab Agriculture, Food and Drug Authority (Amendment) Bill 2016,'The Infrastructure Development Authority of the Punjab (Amendment) Bill 2016','The Punjab Maintenance of Public Order (Amendment) Bill2016', 'The Punjab Blood Transfusion Safety Bill 2016'and 'The Punjab Poultry Production Bill 2016'.
Minister for Communication &Works Department while answering members questions said that there were no Guest and Rest Houses of the department in Lahore. To a question he stated that water and sewerage Lines were laid in F, A Block of Wahdat Colony in year 1975-76. He stated that there were three water filtration plants working in the area at present. The minister to a question stated that Lahore, Sheikhupura Faisalabad Express Way was build, operate and transfer under BOT mechanism by a private limited company. The house was later adjourned by the chair.
