Syed Murad Ali Shah Sindh Chief Minister visited Iqra University North Campus, Karachi to inaugurate the campus building. Advisor to Chief Minister for Anti-Corruption and Law, Barrister Murtaza Wahab also accompanied the chief minister. Lieutenant General Salahuddin Satti (Retd) Chancellor of Iqra University and Hunaid Lakhani Founder Chancellor greeted the Chief Minister. General Satti (Retd) welcomed the chief minister and apprised him about Iqra University and its North Campus.
The overall situation of higher education institutes vis-à-vis the government initiatives for improving the condition were elaborated. The issue and challenges faced by the campus and its students, especially the access to campus, adjoining roads and sewerage condition were also highlighted.
The chief mistier in his address congratulated the Founder Chancellor Hunaid Lakhani and Lieutenant General Satti (Retd) on the establishment of a campus in a less affluent neighborhood. The CM lauded the efforts of the management of Iqra University and appreciated the social responsibility being exhibited by the IU functionaries. He assured that issues and challenges faced by the campus would be resolved within short time.
The CM apprised the audience about his efforts of declaring Education Emergency in the province wherein he has made NADRA registration of birth certificates mandatory with enrolment in school. "Our vision of every child getting quality education by successful implementation of Sindh Education Sector Plan shall be accomplished with a short space of time."
The Founder Chancellor Hunaid Lakhani offered gratitude to the CM on taking out time from his busy schedule and making it convenient to grace the occasion. Later, the chief minister did the plaque curtain rising of the campus building and appreciated the modern state of the art facilities of the campus.
