Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Thursday said that they would not allow anyone to derail democratic system in the country. He was addressing a gathering at Nowshera, where he deeply criticised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan. He said that Imran Khan destroyed his province and now he wanted the same for the entire country. He criticised the PTI chief for his announcement to lockdown Islamabad. "Those who are the biggest thieves cause the biggest uproar," Fazl said.
A large number of JUI-F workers, party legislators, and notable of areas were participated in the huge gathering. The JUI-F chief hinting at the rodent problem in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said, "When you cannot kill mice then how can you threat lions?" "PM's mascot is a lion he doesn't need to be afraid of jackals," he said. He reiterated that no one can derail democracy in Pakistan.
He said the country is already facing numerous internal and external challenges, while Imran's Khan now creating hurdles in the way of country's development will further push the country towards anarchy and terrorism, he accused. "We want to resolve this issue within constitutional and legal ambit and taking out rallies on minor issues and creating anarchy will not suit for the future of this country", said Fazl.
He said that JUI-F will not support any anti-democratic move of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf which aimed to bring political instability and derail the democratic process. Fazl alleged that PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is ignorant about their responsibilities on important issue of CPEC and they have wasted most of the time in sit-ins and protest rallies.
He mentioned that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is facing severe financial crunches and now the provincial government is flexing muscles to sale out government land and industrial zones for mega development developmental projects. Maulana Fazlur Rehman has time and again been quite vocal against PTI's Islamabad protest on November 2. He has maintained that when the issue of Panama Leaks is in the Supreme Court then coming to streets to protests is pointless.
