The 30th edition of the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) National Junior Squash Championship, carrying a prize money of Rs 0.5 million, got under way here at PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex on Thursday. Former World Champion and Vice President Pakistan Squash Federation Qamar Zaman was the chief guest on this occasion who formally inaugurated the Championship.
A total of record 240 players in five different categories comprising Under-11, Under-13, Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 are taking part in the prestigious and oldest event started in 80s. In each of the category there are draws of 32 players each with two day qualifying round. The main round of 12 players in each of the age group category, with four players would qualify from the two-day qualifying round.
