Death of a newborn: chief minister forms inquiry committee

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has constituted an inquiry committee to ascertain the facts about death of a newborn in Rawalpindi. Principal Rawalpindi Medical College Dr Umer will be convenor of the committee while members include Member Chief Minister's Inspection Team Kokab Nadeem Warraich, Paediatrician of Services Institute of Medical Sciences Dr Humayon Iqbal and DCO Rawalpindi.
The committee will be authorised to acquire services of any other member in this regard and will submit its report to the Chief Minister within 48 hours. Shahbaz Sharif has expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the death of the newborn and sympathised with the parents of the baby.
