Third force involved in target killings: Malik
KARACHI: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik said there is a third force behind target killings, according to the media on Wednesday.
Talking to the media, the Interior Minister said, different sects and groups are being targeted.
Major killings in Balochistan are due to enmity, he said.
On the killings of the Domki family members, he said, they were being watched closely, the Interior Minister said.
It may be mentioned, on January 30, unknown persons gunned down three persons including wife, daughter and driver of Member of Balochistan Assembly Mir Sahibzada Bakhtiar Khan Domki at Gizri bridge in Clifton area late at night, a private TV channel reported.
According to the channel, the family of the MPA was travelling in a black car when unknown assailants opened fire on the car. The driver died on the spot while the two women expired when they were being taken to the hospital.
The channel reported, Mir Bakhtiar Khan Domki is the maternal grandson of late Nawab Akbar Bugti.
Rehman Malik said, "Some elements are trying to disrupt peace," and added, "I am warning elements trying to destabilise Pakistan."
