Dispelling all the rumours and speculations, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has reached back Islamabad on Sunday after attending a wedding in Duabi. "Just landed back Alhamdolillah... Ab tera kaya bane ga kaliya," Khawaja Asif said on Twitter confirming his returning back, using famous dialogue from Indian film "Sholay" to poke fun at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
Soon after news came that Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has been sacked to pave way for a transparent probe into a "planted story" about a national security meeting, a news about Khawaja Asif's travel to Dubai set off speculations yesterday (Saturday). Numerous speculations were made after Khawaja Asif went to Dubai with his family on Saturday. Rumours were doing rounds that he has fled the country to avoid governments' action over a security meeting's leak.
PTI Chief Imran Khan tweeted that Nawaz Sharif's government was falling apart as one minister, Khawaja Asif, has fled to Dubai while another was sacked. The rest of the ministers have started trembling, claimed Khan. Khawaja Asif termed Imran Khan as a 'rat', saying that since the PTI chief was holed up in Banigala and his claims of one million supporters coming to Islamabad had been proven hollow, with the keyboard warriors on the run, he could easily afford a 24-hour trip to Dubai.
"Just returned back after Dubai visit with family to attend a wedding for a 24-hour trip," he said.
