Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pervez Khattak has congratulated workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) over Supreme Court's (SC) forthcoming hearing on November 3 of Panama Leaks case. In a statement, Khattak hailed the decision of party chief, Imran Khan of not protesting against the government on November 2 but celebrating admission of petition in the Supreme Court regarding Panama leak probe against the premier.
The chief minister criticised Chief Minister of Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif before announcing to reach Parade Ground at 10:00 am tomorrow. Imran Khan announced to not protest against the government on November 2 but lead a celebratory rally over admission of plea by the SC concerning Panama Leaks.
Chief Minister of KP said that the party leaders and activists did not fear legal cases against them and authority of any party was finite. He said that the purpose of protest was to let the government know that the nation would not tolerate corruption henceforth.
Earlier, the chief minister had pursued movement towards Islamabad via motorway last night along with a group of activists to participate in November 2 protests. However, his motorcade was fired tear gas shells at by police at Swabi Interchange. The supporters had set ablaze at least eight police mobiles and around ten motorcycles on Monday night over resistance put up by police seeking to halt their movement towards the federal capital.
