The Lahore High Court on Wednesday disposed of as withdrawn a petition of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf against arrest its workers. Earlier, a law officer said that 748 workers of PTI were detained ahead of its rally to Islamabad. He said 147 workers were detained from Lahore. The law officer said that 86 cases were lodged against the PTI workers. The court asked the law officers about blockage of roads on which he said that all barricades and containers had been removed from all roads. He said roads were not blocked due to the order of the court.
Advocate General Punjab Shakilur Rehman said all those people who were detained and taken into custody would be released. He also said the people who were arrested in violation of Section 144 should approach the courts.
