Basis bids for hard red winter (HRW) wheat in the southern US Midwest held steady on Tuesday after wheat futures slipped and bids for trains headed to the US Gulf Coast gained slightly, dealers said.
Profit-taking and Chicago Board of Trade corn and soybean market selling weighed on K.C. wheat contracts. K.C. HRW wheat felt more pressure from ample global supplies as US planting nears completion.
