Speaker National Assembly, Ayaz Sadiq met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, here Sunday. Matters of mutual interest, country situation and other affairs came under discussion during the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Chief Minister said that people with conscious have proved from their attitude that they will not allow anyone to play with the fate of the country for personal interests. He said that negative politics of allegations, chaos, anarchy and lies have been defeated by the politics of transparency, honesty and service.
He said faces and designs of those indulging in the politics of sabotage have been exposed to the nation. He said people foiled the conspiracy of stopping the speedy journey of development and prosperity of sit-in party. He stated conscious people have foiled negative politics of those indulging in harming national interests, he added.
Shahbaz Sharif said that there was fear of speedy development of the country and prosperity of the people behind the threats of lockdown of Islamabad in the real sense. The Chief Minister said that former rulers looted the country ruthlessly and filled their pockets instead of spending national resources on providing facilities to the people. He said under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, PML-N government has promoted the trend of transparency and high standard in the projects and set a new example by saving national resources of billions of rupees, which is unprecedented in the history of the country, he added.
He said those unduly criticizing public welfare projects do not want progress of the people. He said service to people is the pivot of politics of PML-N government. He said time has come to remove darkness of ignorance, unemployment and disappointment from the country.
The Chief Minister said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor is a guarantee to progress and prosperity of the country and under this project, the destiny of the country will be changed with the completion of projects of billions of dollars throughout Pakistan. He said under CPEC, investment of $36 billion is being made only in energy projects and with the completion of energy projects, there will be light everywhere, he pointed. He stated that with completion of energy projects, not only surplus power will be available to the people but they will also get cheap electricity, he pointed.
Shahbaz Sharif said that trade, economic and social activities will enhance with the execution of infrastructure projects under CPEC. He said Pakistan has changed at present as compared to 2013 and under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, PML-N government has achieved glorious successes in every sector and the journey of progress and prosperity will be continued more speedily during the next one and a half year, he added.
Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq, speaking on the occasion said that the tremendous work of public service carried out by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif is unprecedented and the present government has promoted a new culture by saving national resources of billions of rupees in development projects transparently. He said that international institutions are acknowledging improved situation of the country.
In a press talk to media in a function of union Council during the day Speaker National Assembly stated that at present biggest issue for the government was situation on our borders and Kashmir. Regarding Panama leaks he said the matter was in the court and sub-judice.
Answering about occurrence of smog in the city he said it was because of emissions from coal plants in India.
