Former chief minister and President Awami National Party (ANP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti on Saturday said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had badly failed to fulfill its promises made with people of the province. Addressing a public meeting in Chitral, he said the indifferent attitude of the KP government had increased agonies of general public. He said instead of doing politics, PTI Chairman Imran Khan was promoting his personal agenda to win sympathy of voters.
Ameer Haider Khan Hoti said Imran would not able to succeed in his designs through blame game. He further castigated that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led provincial government was doing the politics of agitation and ignored the problems of people the for Imran Khan's lust for power. Hoti said indifferent attitude of the provincial government had increased the hardships of the people. "The Tsunami has brought numerous problems to the people," he said.
Former chief minister said the prevailing standoff between PTI Chairman Imran Khan and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was for personal interest. "The aim of the blame game and counter attacks are to get maximum public support in Punjab to form government in the Centre," he added. Slamming the way the Imran Khan criticized his political opponents, Haider Hoti said that mud-slinging on political rivals would not help one to win over his opponents. "One can only win by serving the people," he added.
Hoti said projects had been launched by the ANP-led previous government in the province remained incomplete. "Had these project been completed these would have generated Rs 1.5 billion per year for Chitral," he claimed. He said ANP would complete those projects if voted to power in the general election in 2018. He urged the federal government to give due share to KP in the multi-billion dollars China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
"We just wanted our due share in the fortune changer project. That's all," the former chief minister said. ANP parliamentary leader in the KP Assembly Sardar Hussain Babak, party's provincial senior vice-president Muhammad Javed Yousafzai and others were also present. On the occasion Pakistan Peoples' Party leader Eidul Hussain along with his supports, friends and family members announced joining the ANP.
