Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali on Saturday said, "The federal government would easily come out of the Panamagate crisis soon, just the way Defence Minister Khawaja Asif came out of a petition at the Supreme Court challenging his election from the NA-110 (Sialkot) constituency."
Talking to media at Fesco headquarters, the minister criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stating, "The KP government did not do anything in the province accept corruption and dancing". PTI knows nothing apart from negative politics and characters assassination of national institutions, said the minister.
About Panama Papers issue, he said Panama Papers scandal's pursuers lost rationality in extreme fervour. Expressing confidence on the Supreme Court proceedings in Panama leaks case, he said the PML-N would pursue the case with proper evidence. PTI will not find a place to hide after the Supreme Court's verdict in Panama leaks case, he added. Abid also demanded an apology from the opposition party over flippant remarks against judiciary.
While praising newly appointed Sindh Governor, he said that former Justice Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui had refused to take oath under PCO. He was awarded over his services for judiciary, said Abid Sher Ali. He distanced PML-N from Nehal Hashmi's statement in which he termed former Sindh Governor as 'emblem of terror'. He also advised Bilawal Bhutto to pay attentions to the institutions in Sindh.
