A short spell of rain in the provincial capital dust down a thick layer of smog on Saturday, followed by a moderate cool breeze in the city that brought relief to the citizens by and large. Majority thanked god for sweeping away a dry chilly and smoggy weather besides and turning the city a beauty queen throughout the day.
The met office sources said the rain spell was extended to other parts of the province as well, which included Gujrat, Chakwal, Talagang, Pindi Bhattian, Daska, Nankana Sahab and Hafizabad, Kamoke, Sahiwal and Sargodha. According to Met Office, shallow fog and smog is expected in Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Multan, Bahawalpur divisions during morning hours. Partly cloudy conditions were likely to prevail over northern parts of the country today.
