District Health Department arranged an awareness walk in connection with World Pneumonia Day. DCO Salman Ghani led the walk while EDO Health Dr Nawazish Goraya, DOH Dr Muhammad Asif Shahzad, Dr Bilal Ahmed, Dr Wasim Bhatti, Dr Asfandyar and other doctors, paramedic's staff, representatives of NGOs and members of civil society participated in the walk.
The walk was started from District Health Office and culminated at Katcheri Bazar after passing through district council chowk and Khaleeq Qureshi road. DCO distributed pamphlets among citizens having information of precautionary measures to save from pneumonia. DCO stressed the parents that they should get vaccinated their children under expanded program on immunizations so they could be safe from pneumonia and other fatal diseases. He said the hands, head and feet of children should cover during winter season.
