Director General Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Noorul Amin Mengal has allowed the owners of eateries to improve by December 15 the sanitation and other condition according to the Food Act requirements for providing pure, adulteration free and quality food to the citizens in order to protection their health.
DG Punjab Food Authority visited Faisalabad where a delegation of Supreme Anjuman Tajiran led by Haji Muhammad Aslam Bhalli called on him at the DCO office's committee room. Reviewing the reservations of the business community, he said that the Punjab Food Authority was working to eliminate adulteration mafia under the vision of CM Punjab and its scope of work was being expanded across the province.
He said that premises would not be sealed during the relaxation period, however, after the deadline expired, substandard and fake food items would be discarded during the inspections by the Food Safety Officers.
