Federal Minister for Port and Shipping Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo has said that the government would ensure all out support and facility to the business community at the Gwadar Port to make the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project successful.
He was speaking as chief guest at the International Conference on "CPEC Opportunities for Local Businesses". The conference was organised by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) on Friday. He said this mega project would bring a turnaround in the country's economy and the businessmen should avail maximum benefit of the project. He also urged the exporters to help enhance the country's exports.
SMEDA's provincial chief Raja Hassanien Javed highlighted the business opportunities for SMEs in CPEC and briefed them how the CPEC is a game changer and how the business community can benefit from this multi-million dollar undertaking. He also explained SMEDA's development assistance to SME for achieving maximum benefit from the CPEC initiatives.
Yu Boren, Consul General/Chinese Embassy, Ambassador of Portugal Babar Badat, LCCI President Abdul Basit, Agility Logistics Chief Executive Moin Malik, Project Director-NLC Brigadier Kausar Hussain Shah, China Oversees Port Holding Company's Saiyad Shahzad Sultan and representatives from All Pakistan Business Forum (APBF), FWO, logistic and transport sector companies were also present on the occasion.
