The Finland Pakistan Business Council (FPBC) and the University of Management and Technology (UMT) signed an agreement for long-term co-operation towards development of education in Pakistan here on Tuesday. Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad, Rector of UMT and Wille Eerola, Chairman of FPBC signed the agreement. The UMT has become the premier education partner of FPBC for 2017 after signing this agreement.
"By International standards of the United Nation's Human Development Education Index and Program for International Student Assessment(PISA), Finland has one of the best educational systems in the world. It is our great pleasure to be part of the process where for the first time a leading Pakistani university and leading Finnish academic institutions will work together", said Wille Eerola, Chairman of Finland Pakistan Business Council and Honorary Consul General of Pakistan for Finland. "We believe this wide form of co-operation will cultivate plenty of opportunities for the youth of Pakistan and we are excited to be the catalyst for such a unique co-operation."
