Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday once again vowed to launch a protest movement against Prime Minister Nawaz Shaif if his four demands were not met immediately. Addressing a press conference and in series of tweets PPP chairman said that the PPP CEC and federal council will meet on December 27, on the occasion of martyrdom of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and decide about the movement.
He said the Prime minister is not only making fun of the PPP but people of Pakistan. He said while the PM had in his address in the National Assembly offered his investigation but after the passage of one year, he is not doing so. He said PPP is the only federal political force having roots all over the country. He expressed concern over the law and order situation in Punjab and said if the Interior Minister cannot be made accountable, and the government is not willing to constitute a committee to hold in camera session, the PPP would launch such a movement that the government would have to go.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari again repeated his four demands of constitution of parliamentary security committee, investigation into Panama Leaks scandal, implementation of CPEC as agreed by All Parties conference and democratic accountability of foreign policy and appointment of foreign minister.
The PPP Chairman said there should be same rule of law for every one including the PM saying that if Z A Bhutto, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, Asif Ali Zardari and Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani can appear in the courts then why not Mian Nawaz Sharif. Earlier, in a series of tweets, Bilawal stated that government's refusal to implement National Action Plan results in incidents such as Chakwal. He added that the government must accept his demands immediately especially on Countering Violent Extremism (CVE).
The PPP chief stated that if the government is scared of being accountable to the Parliament, "New PPP" will see them on the streets chanting "Go Nawaz Go". Bilawal during a party rally in Karachi in October had demanded the federal government to appoint a foreign minister on immediate basis, Panama Bill tabled by PPP should be passed in the parliament, the suggestions of former president Asif Ali Zardari on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) presented in All Parties Conference.
