Vice Minister International Department of Central Committee of Communist Party of China, Zheng Xiaosong met Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, on Sunday. Matters of mutual interest, promotion of Pak-China relations besides strengthening of contacts between PML-N and Communist Party of China were discussed during the meeting.
The meeting agreed to take affective steps for further promoting ties between Communist Party of China and PML-N. Director General Bureau International Department Communist Party of China Yuan Zhibing was also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Communist Party, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Keqiang played a big role in making China the second largest economic power and ideology of socialism and force of great historic asset of China lies behind existing development of China. He said undoubtedly, the progress of China was a miracle of sacrifices and hard work of its leadership and people.
He said that Pakistan government not only appreciates China but also tries to learn a lot from it. He said that currently, Pakistani girls and boy students are learning Chinese language and Punjab government has sent them to China from its own resources. More delegations of the youth will be sent to China, he added.
Shehbaz Sharif said that China supported Pakistan at a time when we were facing terrorism and energy crisis. He said that earlier, Pakistan and China were only friends but now they love each other. He said that Chinese friendship was a precious asset of every Pakistani. He said that CPEC was a great gift of Chinese President, Prime Minister and government for Pakistan and Pakistani nation can never forget this historic gift. CPEC projects guarantees progress and prosperity of Pakistan and increasing economic co-operation of both the countries. He said that due to this historic project, Pak-China relations are touching new heights.
He said that the course of history will be changed in the region with the completion of China Pakistan Economic Corridor and exports of different countries of the region including Pakistan will be promoted. Shahbaz Sharif said that job opportunities will be generated and trend of extremism will be eliminated through this great project. He said that Pakistan and China are jointly moving towards the journey of progress and prosperity.
He said that all out assistance will be extended for promoting co-operation between Communist Party and PML-N He said that China is a trustworthy and great friend of Pakistan and present leadership of Pakistan attaches great importance to its bonds with China. He said that friendship of Pakistan and China is higher than Himalayas, deeper than oceans, sweeter than honey and stronger than steel. He said that Pak-China friendship stood every test of trial. He said that during the tenure of present leadership of Pakistan and China, relations between the two countries have strengthened. He said that Pak-China friendship has transformed into useful economic co-operation. He said that Chinese leadership has expressed full confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Vice Minister International Department of Central Committee of Communist Party of China, Zheng Xiaosong said that China attaches great importance to its relations with Pakistan. He said that Communist Party of China and PML-N have ideal relations and which are further promoted under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. He said that exchange of delegations from Pakistan at party level will be welcomed. He said that he is happy to visit Lahore and has received great love from Pakistan. He said that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken exemplary steps for the welfare of the people of the province.
