Dollar East and ZTBL started their Pakistan Polo Cup 2016 campaigns on a winning note as they registered contrastive victories in their respective matches played here at the Lahore Polo Club (LPC) ground on Tuesday. In the inaugural match of the day, two and half goal handicap advantage helped ZTBL beat Master Paints by 6 1/2-6.
Saqib Khan Khakwani was top scorer from the winning side as he thwarted three goals while Bilal Haye and Mumtaz Abbas contributed with one goal apiece. Hissam Ali Hyder though remained the top scorer of the match by hammering fabulous goals yet his team failed to score a victory. Ahmed Ali Tiwana also hit one goal from the losing side.
In the second match of the day, Dollar East carved out an easy 4-2 victory against Army Colts. It was high-flying Andres Crispo who played tremendous polo and slammed all the four goals for Dollar East. From the losing side, another foreign player Daniel Marcelo Otmandi though struggled hard to score maximum goals for his team yet he could convert only one while the remaining one came from Muhammad.
