District Administration has arranged a programme at Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Auditorium to pay rich tribute to the youngest World Microsoft Professional Arfa Kareem on her fifth death anniversary. Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani was the chief guest on the occasion while Chairman Zila Council Ch. Zahid Nazir, Ex DC Mian Kamal-ud-Din, Yasin Kasana, parents of Irfa Kareem Col. Amjad Kareem Randhawa and Samina Amjad Randhawa, educationists and a large number of students participated in the event.
Addressing the ceremony, DC Salman Ghani paid rich tribute to the youngest World Microsoft Professional Arfa Kareem and said that she had lighted the name of Pakistan through her biggest achievement on World level in her minor age and the whole Pakistani nation proud of her. He said that the new generation should follow the thoughts and achievements of the Arfa Kareem to get command on most advanced information technology which was imperative to compete the World.
He mentioned the steps taken by the Punjab govt. to keep alive the name of Arfa Kareem and informed that CM Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif had named the Information Technology Park and Arfa Kareem Tower.
The DC said that the district administration had declared the native village of Arfa Kareem Chak No.4/JB Sargodha road as Arfa Kareem Nagar in her memory.
