US Consul General Yuriy Fedkiw called on Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif here on Saturday and exchanged views on matters of mutual interest.
Speaking on the occasion, Shahbaz said that there are strong friendly relations between Pakistan and US; however, there is a need to promote trade and economic ties between the two countries.
He said the provincial government wants to improve bilateral relations and cooperation with the United States (US) in various sectors.
Shahbaz said that there is a highly conducive atmosphere for investment in the province and US investors can benefit from vast investment opportunities in Punjab.
The Chief Minister said that exchange of trade delegations can help promote economic ties between the two countries.
