Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has asked LPG Distributors Association Pakistan to provide copies of association's registration documents to the concerned agencies with immediate effect. In a notice issued to Chairman LPG Distributors Association Pakistan Irfan Khokhar, an OGRA's official stated that a self-explanatory complaint has been lodged by Senior Vice-Chairman All Pakistan LPG Distributors Association against the LPG Distributors Association Pakistan who has termed a fake entity.
All Pakistan LPG Distributors Association has complained to the chairperson OGRA that it is quite shocking that the authority is inviting non-stakeholders and fake entities are using the name and designation of LPG Distributors Association of Pakistan to meet the OGRA chairperson.
All Pakistan LPG Distributors Association claimed that it is the only trade body in the LPG industry which was granted licence by Ministry of Commerce in August 2008 (licence No 69), became member of FPCCI in 2008 and was incorporated with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) in 2008 (CUI No 0067829). "We are a trade body representing all the supply chain and stakeholders involved in the LPG industry," the complainant said.
"We like to draw your attention that for the last couple of months we came to know through the media reports that a person known as Irfan Khokhar is misusing the name of All Pakistan LPG Distributors Association and he self-proclaims to be the chairman of LPG Distributors Association of Pakistan," the complaint said.
"This fake association and its chairman have no representation in the LPG industry and Irfan Khokhar is not a stakeholder in the LPG industry either. It is requested to please instruct your staff to investigate into authenticity of any person or his association before giving him appointment to meet authority officials in relation to matter pertaining to the LPG industry," the complaint added.
When contacted, Irfan Khokhar said he is ready to give a befitting response after receiving the letter.
