Seven shops were partially damaged in a bomb blast in main bazaar of Landi Kotal on Friday. However, no casualty has been reported so far. According to Political Tehsildar, Irshad Mohmand, some miscreants, planted explosive materials inside the newly constructed mobile phones market, which exploded with huge bang. The blast created panic among shoppers, but no one was hurt in the explosion.
Line officer Landi Kotal Tika Khan Afridi added that shutters of seven shops were partially damaged.
Immediately after the incident, the security agencies rushed to the site, cordoned off the area and collected evidences from the spot, Khasadar told.
It is to be mentioned here that the market belongs to the local leader of Awami National Party (ANP) and it was razed to ground last year by undisclosed militants, who placed heavy intensity bomb there.
