Chairperson, Awami National Party Wali (ANP-W), Begum Naseem Wali Khan has called for initiation of dialogue to defuse the ongoing tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan, saying that blame game against each other was not best interest of the both countries.
She was addressing a consultative meeting at Wali Bagh in district Charsadda on Sunday, which attended by the party central vice president, Nawabzada Mohsin Ali Khan, provincial president Farid Toofan, central joint secretary Jan Nisar Khan, Central vice president Nazir Baghi, president women wing, Sajida Khattak and others.
Begum Wali said the Islamabad should contact with Kabul to sort out a peaceful solution of the issues, adding that both countries should restrain from confrontation, which could further damage relationship between them.
Talking about the national census, she demanded of the office has been established in Karachi for Sindh province, for Punjab in Lahore, for Balochistan in Quetta, while for KP and Fata, it was set up in Islamabad, which was a unfair decision. She asked the government to establish national census office for KP and Fata in provincial capital Peshawar.
Begum Wali expressed great resentment over blocking of Computerised National Identity Cards in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, which has been deprived a large number of people from performing Umrah and Haj.
Therefore, she asked the authorities concerned to immediate unblocked all CNIC, before the conduct of national population census in KP province. Otherwise, she warned to launch a protest movement against the blocking of CNIC in KP.
She sought equal share for southern district in multi-billion dollars China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
She demanded the collection of data of students of public and private universities and devise of a comprehensive policy for their future.
Earlier, the meeting was decided to hold a massive rally in next month, in which a large number of workers would be participated. The meeting expressed great apprehensions over the recent spate of terrorism in the country, and strongly condemned the cowardly terrorists' acts in Peshawar, Quetta, Lahore, and Sehwan Sharif.
The meeting expressed deep sorrow and condolences with the bereaved families of the blast victims.
