Drug worth Rs 10 million seized

Model Collectorate Customs (MCC), Preventive on Friday claimed to have seized substantial quantity of amphetamine and hashish worth Rs 10 million from Doha bound passenger. According to details, the staff posted at international departure of Jinnah International Airport (JIAP) intercepted a passenger namely Siddique, who was travelling to Doha from Qatar Airways' flight QR-604.
Following his refusal to have any contraband item in his possession, the staff after thorough examination recovered 950 grams of amphetamine and around two kilograms of hashish worth Rs 10 million from his possession. The said contraband items were artfully concealed in the hidden cavity of his briefcase. Consequent upon the recovery, the case has been registered and further investigation was underway.
