The quality and technology of Pakistani auto parts has reached the global standards as first shipment of 500 fuel tanks of vehicles has been exported to Vietnam. Following the high standard quality of locally manufactured fuel tanks of vehicles, the Suzuki Pakistan has introduced the Lahore based Metaline Industries Pvt. Ltd to Suzuki Vietnam for its exports.
The first shipment of 500 fuel tanks of vehicles has been exported last month, said Chairman Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts and Accessories Manufacturers (PAAPAM) Mashhood Ali Khan; adding that this was regular order and the said company would cater the need of fuel tanks of vehicles to Suzuki Vietnam on monthly basis.
He said that PAAPAM always strived to promote local businesses at global level; adding that this was the first time when Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) introduced any local auto part manufacturer, internationally.
Confiding on locally manufactured auto parts, which improve its quality to international standards, a delegation of PAAPAM is going to meet the officials of Pak Suzuki in mid of March for finding more similar business opportunities for other auto parts manufacturers, he apprised and added that PAAPAM was also planning to send proposals to other OEMs, persuading them to take similar initiatives. "I am extremely grateful to the respected Managing Director of Pak Suzuki Motor Company Hirofumi Nagao San, who has made a new policy of exporting sub-assemblies manufactured in Pakistan to other Suzuki plants in the world. This new Suzuki policy has resulted in the export of locally-manufactured Fuel Tanks to Suzuki Vietnam," he said and also congratulated Managing Director of MetalLine Razzaq Ahmed for said achievement.
He further said that Pakistan was now included in the list of new fast-growing economies comprising Vietnam, Argentina & Romania; adding that the quality and standard of the manufactured auto-parts production in Pakistan are extremely high, and can compete with any one on the global front in terms of costs, quality, and supply-ability.
