KAA DG debarred from holding public office

An accountability court on Wednesday disqualified former Director of Katchi Abadi Authority (KAA) and other officials for any public office for 10 years in a corruption case, by approving the plea bargain of the accused. The court heard a reference against former Director General KAA Asghar Abbas and Ali Raza and Ms Chand Gulshan for corruption and embezzlement of millions of rupees of the authority.
The NAB officials told the court that the chairman NAB had approved the plea bargain application of the accused. They pleaded the court to allow the plea bargain.
