Jaffarabad qualified for the quarter finals after defeating Bolan 5-3 in the qualifying round of the PPL Balochistan Football Cup 2017 in district Naseerabad. The match resulted in a draw following which it was decided on penalty strokes. District Education Officer Saleem Ali Sundrani distributed the prizes. In other districts, Nushki outplayedPishin 2-0, Loralai won against Qilla Saifullah by 1-0, while Gwadar and Khuzdar lost their respective matches against Turbat and Lasbela by 0-1 and 0-3, respectively.
However, the matches between Chaman and Quetta, Pasni and Panjgur and Surab and Kalat resulted ina draw with each team scoring one goal. With the qualifying roundnearing the end on March 18, the competing teams lifted their game to qualify for the final round which commences from March 20. The two semi-finals will be played on March 31 followed by the final on April 2 at the Sadiq Shaheed Football Stadium (Malibagh), Quetta. So far, the tournament has identified more than 30 football stars being the 'Man of the Match', in various district matches.-PR
