The Karachi Port handled 317,877 tonnes of cargo comprising 269,994 tonnes of import cargo and 47,883 tonnes of export cargo including NA loaded and empty containers during the last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday. The total import cargo of 269,994 tonnes comprised of 62,174 tonnes of containerised cargo; 39,054 tonnes of general cargo; 79,977 tonnes of bulk cargo: 67,737 tonnes of coal; 6,161 tonnes of soyabean meal; 6,079 tonnes of palm kernel expeller and 88,789 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 47,883 tonnes comprised of 39,183 tonnes of containerised cargo and 8,700 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. There were ten ships namely SM Mumbai, Hyundai Oakland, Al Farahidi, Pacific Horizon-II, AS Omaria, Fuat Bey, G Poseidon, Morning Clara, Lian Hua Song and Chang Hang PU carrying containers, oil tankers, meal, vehicle and general cargo respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
There were ten vessels viz. Prosper, Hyundai Oakland, MT Quetta, BW Amazon, Torm Trinity, Aqua Prosper, Draftslayer, Morning Clara, Han Li and Chang Hang PU carrying containers, oil tankers, coal, vehicle and general cargo respectively currently at the berths. There were three ships namely Prosper, Patriot and Kiran China carrying containers, coal and general cargo respectively sailed out to sea on Monday.
There were seven vessels viz. New Ark, Clemens Schulte, Northern Dependant, YM Cypress, SC Brilliant, Arietta and KY Venus carrying containers, chemical, coal and white spirit respectively due to arrive on Monday while two vessels viz. MSC Positano and KSL Danyang carrying containers and general cargo respectively due to arrive on Tuesday.

PORT QASIM
A cargo volume of 66,417 tonnes comprising 25,396 tonnes of import cargo and 41,021 tonnes of export cargo including 3,038 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) was handled at Port Qasim during the last 24 hours on Monday.
The total import cargo of 25,396 tonnes includes 8,132 tonnes of phosphoric acid; 563 tonnes of project cargo and 16,701 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 41,021 tonnes includes 41,021 tonnes of containerised cargo. As many as 3,038 containers comprising of 879 containers import and 2,159 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Monday.
There were two ships namely CV MSC Claudia and CV Safmarine Ngami carrying containers sailed out to sea on Monday morning, while two more ships namely CV New Ark and MV Fu Ming carrying containers and coal respectively are expected to sail on the same day. A total number of nine vessels viz. CV MSC Claudia, CV Safmarine Ngami, CV New Ark, MV Pelagica, MV Da Liang, MV Fu Ming, MV Berlin, MV Chem Patriot and MT Gas Chem Adriatic currently occupied berths to load/offload containers, project cargo, coal, soyabean seeds, phosphoric acid and LPG respectively during the last 24 hours.
As many as ten ships namely MT Al Bahiya, MT Bneider, MT Al Dasma, MT Al-Soor-II, MT UASC Sound, MT Lahore, MT Brizo, MT CH Zephyr, MT Chemroad Haya and MT Bunga Angsana carrying LNG, diesel oil, furnace oil and palm oil respectively were at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
There were four vessels viz. CV Al Rawdah, CV MSC Albany, CV MSC Messina and MT Al Bahiya carrying containers and LNG respectively expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Engro Energy Terminal respectively on Monday. There were four ships namely CV Al Rawdah, CV MSC Albany, CV MSC Messina and MT Umm Bab carrying containers and LNG respectively due to arrive on Monday. There are two ships namely CV Maersk Denver and MV YM Miranda carrying containers and chemical respectively due to arrive on Tuesday, while another ship namely CV Maersk Surabaya carrying containers respectively is due to arrive on Wednesday.
