Families of missing persons have appealed to the Chief of Army Staff, Corps Commander Peshawar Lieutenant General Nazir Ahmad Butt, Chief Justice of Pakistan and other authorities concerned to ensure early and safe recovery of their loved ones. Speaking at a press conference at Peshawar Press Club on Thursday, they said that their relatives have been picked up, despite having no links with any proscribed organization. They said that due to non-recovery of their loved ones, the families of missing persons are depressed and dejected and each passing day adds to their miseries.
A wife of the taxi driver, who is missing for last four years, said some unidentified persons picked her husband from a posh locality of Hayatabad Peshawar, but the law enforcement agencies were clueless regarding his whereabouts. She told that her husband belonged to Mohmand Agency while she herself hails from Bajaur agency; he was not involved in any heinous crime such as terrorism or links with proscribed organizations which may have warranted his disappearance. "We have three children and every single day they inquire, when will their father return home," she said and added he was the sole bread earner of his family.
The Sister of Gohar Rahman s/o Ahsanullah also shared her grievances about her missing brother, she said that her brother had been missing since 15 February 2016 from Hashtnagri but his family members don't know the whereabouts of their loved one. She informed that he was an educated and married person, was working at a mobile shop in Hashtnagri.
Sarfaraz Khan s/o Gul Wali had been kidnapped by unidentified men from his shop situated near Firdaus in 2014, a sister-in-law informed and added that his family members were unaware of his whereabouts. Central Chairman of Khidmat-e-Khalq, Yousaf Ali Khan lauded Pak Army's efforts in the restoration of peace and tranquility in the country and appealed to CoAS and core commander to take measures to recover the missing persons adding that he along with the family members of the missing persons will go to Islamabad for protest, if they were not recovered.
