Fifth hearing of judicial commission probing memo issue on Thursday
ISLAMABAD: The Judicial Commission, probing the memo issue, will held fifth hearing on Thursday.
The commission has so far conducted proceedings on January 2, 9, 16 and 24 respectively.
On last hearing, Zahid Hussain Bokhari, counsel for Hussain Haqqani, had prayed before the commission to decline another opportunity to Mansoor Ijaz and end its further proceedings.
The commission had deferred his application till February 9 by saying that if Mansoor did not come then it would be entertained.
It may be mentioned that the commission comprising Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court Qazi Faez Issa, Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court Iqbal Hameed-ur-Rehman and Sindh High Court Chief Justice Musheer Alam, will conduct the proceedings of the memo issue at the IHC.
The Supreme Court has also extended the time period for the commission to two months to complete its findings on the issue.
