Test cricketer Iftikhar steered Shama Club to 47 runs victory against Jans Brothers club in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Twenty20 Cricket Cup played at Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium on Tuesday. Jans Brothers Club skipper won the toss and invited Shama Club to bat first. Shama club while batting first scored 146 runs in which opener Rashid Khan made elegant 46 runs, Iftikhar scored a dashing 38 runs and Test cricketer Muhammad Rizwan scored 32 runs. For Jans Brothers Ayaz claimed three wickets, Haroon Sadaqat, Arshad, Zubair and Musadiq Hussain took one wicket each.
In reply, Jans Brothers Club failed to chase the target and all team out for 99 runs only after playing 19.3 overs wherein Sami Ullah made 34 runs including three boundaries and Johar Khan scored 30 runs with three boundaries. For Shama Club Arshad Ullah claimed four wickets, Iftikhar got three wickets and Mehrab Ibrahim and Noor Ul Amin got one wicket each.
Test cricketer Iftikhar was declared "Man of the Match" while Sahibzada Farhan Habib got best batsman award of the tournament by scoring four 50s, Hamayun Khan best bowler by taking 13 wickets, Kashif Hayat was declared best keeper, Rashid Khan got best fielder award while Salman Khan got best emerging player award.
