Under the directions of CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, all out efforts are being made to provide the quality items of daily use to the consumers on specially reduced prices through the network of Ramazan Bazaars set up in the district. This was said by Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani while inspecting Ramazan Bazaars in the different localities. He went to Ramazan Bazaar Riaz Shahid Chowk Islamnagar and inspected the availability, quality and prices of fruit, vegetables and other grocery items.
He expressed his satisfaction over the arrangements of Ramazan Bazaar and directed the duty staff to maintain the discipline and arrangements in the bazaar. He went to the stall of cheap sugar and flour and observed the sale process. He directed the staff to make the packets of sugar one kg and two kg in advance to avoid long wait by the consumers. He checked the weight of flour bags and ordered for transparent sale of cheap flour. The Deputy Commissioner directed the staff for proper cleanliness and security in Ramazan Bazaars and said that neat and clean environment should be maintained at all time. He urged upon the stall holders for friendly dealing with customers and said the consumers should be satisfied over the benefits of Ramazan Bazaars. The Deputy Commissioner also met with the people and asked from them about the quality and prices of the commodities. He said that strict monitoring of the Ramzaan Bazaars was been made for ensuring availability of the daily use items and maximum economic relief was being provided to the public.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani and SSP Operation Rana Masoom jointly visited fruit & vegetable market Sadhar Jhang Road to check the whole prices of the fruit and vegetables early in the morning. They also observed the auction process of the fruit and vegetable at different sheds. Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani directed the commission agents to refrain from increasing prices without any justification.
He asked the market committee staff to ensure the transparent auction of the different fruit and vegetables to check the price hike. The Deputy Commissioner directed for proper cleanliness in the market and said the shopkeepers/retail sellers should be facilitated for providing the relief to the consumers at grassroots level. SSP Operation Rana Masoom checked the security at the fruit and vegetable market and directed the security staff to perform duties actively for providing the protection to the traders and shopkeepers.
