It is a delight to witness the inauguration of the first ever transmission line project of Sindh Transmission and Dispatch Company Pvt Ltd (STDC) by any province in Pakistan. It is a proud moment for the Energy department, Government of Sindh and STDC management to be a part of this venture.
The province of Sindh is well endowed with energy resources. Energy department is making strenuous efforts to minimize the energy gaps by focusing on indigenous resources and developing critical energy infrastructure. The ambition is to provide energy for all at an affordable cost.
The Government of Sindh has initiated a number of energy projects. A robust and investor friendly energy policy has been adopted to attract the foreign direct investment and local business houses. The policy framed by the Government of Sindh has also created opportunities for the locals and assists the province generate more revenue.
Sindh Transmission and Dispatch Company Pvt Ltd is undertaking strenuous steps to cater the current and future energy transmission demand throughout Sindh while maintaining high standards of health & safety, environment, and community needs. STDC will play a pivotal role in delivering quality transmission services to the consumers.
It is indeed a matter of great satisfaction to observe STDC grow and achieve landmarks at a remarkable pace. I appreciate the commendable work done by the STDC team in a very short time. Special appreciation is recorded for Mr. Rehan Hamid and Mr. Tariq Saeed for their untiring efforts for timely completion of this project. A special thanks is also due for finance department government of Sindh for actively supporting the project. I wish STDC team the best in future endeavors.
