Police on Sunday arrested a gang of dacoits and its ringleader and recovered looted money and items worth millions of rupees. According to detail, a team was constituted by DPO District Nowshera Wahid Mehmood comprising DSP Pabbi Circle Luqman Khan, SHO Police Station Azakhail, SI Saleem Khan and Shoukat Hayat.
The team led by DSP Luqman followed police intelligence sources after a robbery occurred in the jurisdiction of Azakhail Police Station when Tariq Aziz s/o Haji Mujeeb Gul, residence of Azakhail Payan, reported the police that a group of dacoits looted a general store. The police was already in search for the groups of the dacoits involved in different crimes. The police in a search operation succeeded in arresting the alleged ringleader Obaid s/o Abdullah, residence of Azakhail Payan along with other members of the group including Tajdar s/o Ayub, residence of Azakhail Payan; Junaid s/o Ayub and recovered prize bounds worth million of rupees and other valuable things.
