The rift between Inspector General Police (IGP) Sindh AD Khawaja and home department has further deepened when Sindh government has deprived off IG Sindh from transfers and appointments of the police officials. In a notification, chief secretary Sindh said that the powers to appoint or transfer of police officials have been suspended and now he can't appoint or transfer any police official.
After the Sindh government new order, IG Sindh even could not appoint SSP level officer. It is pertinent to mention that the rift between IG Sindh and government of Sindh has been going on for few months. Sindh government had removed him from his post but later SHC setting aside Sindh government decision restored him.
