The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has called for strike today (Wednesday) in the wake of Panama Papers case hearing and JIT report demanding resignations of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
In a statement secretary SBCA Aftab Ahmad Bajwa said. "The SBCA is of the view that report submitted by the JIT has severely exposed the faces of ruling party especially Sharif family. The SCBA in particular is of the view that Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar also became tools of the Sharif family to streamline corruption and money laundering in the light of the JIT report and Hudaibiya Paper Mills case.
"Now, the JIT report has proved the corruption and money laundering of the Sharif family, so there is no reason left that the Prime Minister of Pakistan should continue to hold Prime Minister's office as he is already declared by two honourable judges of the Supreme Court that he no longer remains "Sadiq" and "Amin"
SBCA also showed grave concern over the maligning policies adopted by PML-N against JIT members and requested the Supreme Court to take notice of that as well. SCBA also requested the apex court to finish the Panama case at the earliest as this case is putting the nation in a state of endless agony. Secretary SCBA called upon the High Court Bar Associations, District Bar Associations and provincial Bar Councils of the country to join hands with the SCBA in this strike to streamline future of the nation and block the ways of corruption.
