The management of Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro Tuesday entered into an agreement with the British Council of Pakistan about conducting IELTS awareness programme for students and training workshop for the faculty members. The Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Aslam Uqaili and representative of the British Council Pakistan Hassan Khattak signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations at a simple but impressive ceremony on Tuesday.
According to agreement, the British Council Pakistan would conduct awareness programmes on IELTS for students while training workshops would be arranged for faculty members. Besides, IELTS test would also be conducted at Mehran University Jamshoro. It may be mentioned here that IELTS certificate has been declared essential in around nine thousand in public and private sector organizations of 140 countries of the world therefore the management of Mehran University has taken initiative of conducting IELTS programmes and training workshops for students and faculty of the university.
