Executive Director of Afzaal Memorial Thalassemia Foundation (AMTF) Ateeq Ur Rehman has urged general public to donate blood generally to save life of Thalassaemia patients. Talking to Business Recorder, he said AMTF facing acute shortage of blood and added that Thalassaemia patients need regular blood transfusion to augment the blood deficiency in their system so their body functions properly . The regular blood transfusion is vital for the lives of thalassemic children. Therefore it is necessary to maintain supply of blood.
Organizations are requested to establish camps and start drives at their offices so that more and more volunteers could help save the lives of thalassaemic children. He requested people not to hesitate and come forward to donate blood and Join hands in fighting against Thalassaemia.
