Provincial Chief/General Manager Out-Reach (GMOR), Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA), Javed Iqbal Khattak has said that first phase of the Economic Revitalization of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA (ERKF) has been completed successfully during 2012-17. He was addressing a meeting of Swabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) at Gadoon Industrial Estate with president of the chamber Mohammad Zahid Shah in the chair. Industrialists, traders, marble, CNG, pharmaceuticals and representatives of different other sectors attended the meeting.
The provincial chief/GMOR SMEDA said that 1700 small and medium entrepreneurs had taken benefit of the project in the shape of matching grant. For the first phase, he said a fund of Rs 1.4 billion was sanctioned while in the second phase the allocated amount is Rs 1.2 billion. He invited the business community of KP and FATA to take benefit of the technology up-gradation and other incentives of Multi-Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) project of the World Bank. Speaking on the occasion, president, Swabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Mohammad Zahid Shah welcomed the visit of SMEDA provincial chief, Javed Khattak to their chamber and said that extended full support to the offer on his behalf of their members and expressed satisfaction over the performance of the authority.
